Job description

Department: Learning & Development

Position Title: F&B Trainer

Purpose: Under the general guidance of the L&D Manager or his delegate, and within the limits of company policies, procedures, oversees, directs and provides training for all employees and supervisors in the company.

Duties and responsibilities: 1. Analyzes training needs and prioritizes such needs for Training Manager to review. 2. Assists in the development of the annual training plan and provides advice to departmental trainers in their preparation of departmental training plans. 3. Conducts routine training eg: Grooming and Appearance, Guest Service, and other Food and Beverage related technical training. 4. Observes standards in F&B operations. Coaches and guide employees in the areas for improvement based on observation. 5. Collects and submits F&B Training Plans (SOP). Conducts training according to schedule. Monitors and evaluates training progress of all F&B new hires. 6. Assists in the preparation of monthly training reports. 7. Assists in the monthly and annual training audits. 8. Assist other departments to organize their training, by providing when possible, training room space, training equipment and providing training advice. 9. Assists the Training Manager in maintaining the Policies and Procedures of the Company. 10. Reviews training policies and procedures and recommends improvements to the training manager. 11. Assists in the development and implementation of corporate programmes. 12. Establishes and maintains effective staff relations. 13. Ensures the cleanliness and efficiency of all training equipment and rooms and makes recommendation for improvement / change as necessary, prepared for all training. 14. Maintains all administration as directed by the L&D Manager 15. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.

Skillset Required: - • Excellent communication skills • A degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management is a must. • Eye for Detail. • Interface with other departments (teamwork ) • Positive attitude • Minimum 2 years work experience as Supervisor/Executive in Food & Beverage. • Good operational, administrative, and interpersonal skills are a must, and banqueting experience will be an added advantage.
