Job description
Network Engineer will participate in the development and implementation of a comprehensive network and telecommunications services strategy for the firm. The Will provide energetic, creative, and imaginative contribution to the Network Engineering team.
Evaluate, design, and maintain comprehensive, integrated, reliable, high-quality network services for the firm in areas such as backbone and local area networking, Wide Area network (SD-WAN) and other infrastructure communication system, Internet access for all regional offices, high performance networking, network security, remote access for internal users, and telecommunications.
Evaluate, design, develop and maintain wired and wireless networking for the enterprise, including global support offices, and VOIP systems (hardware and software).
Work with complex network and storage environments including SAN, clustering, load balancing, multi-site VPNs, IPS, and firewalls.
Analyze network characteristics (e.g., latency, transmission speeds, packet loss and throughput), triage and troubleshoot problems.
Monitor network performance and provide security measures, troubleshooting and maintenance, as needed.
Acquire, maintain, and report on data related to network performance management, capacity planning and utilization trend analysis.
Manage and support all 3rd party applications utilized by the firm.
Collaborate with other functional IT areas to ensure that IT best practices, policies, and procedures are adhered to. Provide technical support for staff issues.
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualification:
7+ years of designing and implementing a highly reliable, global, and comprehensive network architecture.
Experience in setup, configuration and maintenance of networking infrastructure including Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, VPN technologies, SD-WAN, and other WAN administration.
Strong knowledge of IP/MPLS Network Management and protocols: IPv4 and IPv6, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, L2/L3 VPN, QoS, Security.
Experience in Software Defined Networking SD-WAN, SDN Automation.
Hands on experience setting up networks and all related supporting infrastructure (routers, firewalls, switches, load balancers, etc.)
Proven experience with complex multi-site and global network design, multilayered switch environment, firewalls, VPN, Load balancers, DNS, dynamic routing protocols.
Hands-on experience on Cisco ASA, FTD/FMC & FortiGate Firewalls.
Knowledge of TCP/UDP protocols/services is required, including deep analysis of network packet captures using Wireshark and Tcpdump.
Experience in troubleshooting and performance management of Datacenter Infrastructure Network.
Dive deep into the high severity of incidents recommend preventive solutions and participate in root cause analysis.
Familiarity with Cisco CUCM
Knowledge of AWS is a plus.
Experience with 3rd party monitoring tools and analyzers
Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience
Excellent communication skills, both in technical and non-technical terms
Ability and willingness for on-call and after-hours work
