The Team
Deloitte's SA&MA- Analytics & Cognitive practice can help you uncover and unlock the value buried deep inside vast amounts of data. Our global network provides strategic guidance and implementation services to help companies manage data from disparate sources and convert it into accurate, actionable information that can support fact-driven decision-making and generate an insight-driven advantage. Our practice addresses the continuum of opportunities in business intelligence & visualization, data management, performance management and next-generation analytics and technologies, including big data, cloud, cognitive and machine learning.
Work you'll do
As a Consultant in our Consulting team, you'll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. You'll:
- Design, develop and deploy solutions using different tools, design principles and conventions
- Configure robotics processes and objects using core workflow principles in an efficient way ensure they are easily maintainable and easy to understand
- Understand existing processes and facilitate change requirements as part of a structured change control process
- Solve day to day issues arising while running robotics processes and provide timely resolutions
- Maintain proper documentation for the solutions, test procedures and scenarios during UAT and Production phase
- Coordinate with process owners and business to understand the as-is process and design the automation process flow.
Qualifications
Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Senior R Programmer (3 to 6 years' experience) with expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistical programming using R and be proficient in applying OOP principles to enhance code modularity, reusability, and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- R Programming:
- Develop and maintain statistical models, algorithms, and data analysis scripts using the R programming language.
- Implement data manipulation, visualization, and statistical analysis tasks efficiently in R.
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP):
- Apply OOP principles to design and implement modular, reusable, and scalable code structures in R.
- Create and maintain R classes and objects for improved code organization and readability.
- Code Optimization:
- Optimize existing R code for performance improvements.
- Implement best practices for memory management and code efficiency.
- Data Processing and Transformation:
- Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and transformation tasks using R.
- Collaborate with data engineers to integrate R scripts into data pipelines.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software developers.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for R code, including comments, README files, and user guides.
- Ensure that documentation is accessible and understandable for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement unit testing and other quality assurance measures for R code.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify and address issues.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in R programming and OOP methodologies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- BE or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven 3 to 6 years of experience as an Senior R Programmer, with a strong understanding of statistical modeling and data analysis.
- Proficiency in applying OOP principles in R, including the creation of classes, objects, and inheritance.
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with other programming languages (e.g., Python, .Net) and the ability to integrate R with other systems.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative coding practices.
- Previous exposure to big data technologies and distributed computing (e.g., Spark).
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
Nice to have:
Azure Knowledge/Supply Chain Domain experience is a plus
