Job description

As the Sales Manager for Online Sales at Unacademy, you will be responsible for leading and managing our online sales team to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. You will play a key role in developing and implementing sales strategies, identifying new opportunities, and nurturing client relationships to maximize sales effectiveness in the online education sector.

Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the online education space. Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and inform sales strategies. Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate the online sales team to optimize performance and achieve sales goals. Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance their sales skills and product knowledge. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners to understand their needs and deliver customized solutions. Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to develop compelling value propositions and address client requirements. Sales Process Optimization: Implement efficient sales processes, workflows, and systems to streamline operations and improve sales productivity. Monitor sales metrics, analyze performance data, and identify areas for optimization and improvement. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, lead generation, and networking efforts. Develop and nurture partnerships with educational institutions, corporate clients, and other stakeholders to expand the customer base. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall business objectives. Provide feedback and insights to inform product development and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Proven track record of success in sales management, preferably in the online education or technology sector. Strong leadership abilities with experience in leading and motivating sales teams to achieve targets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans aligned with business objectives. Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.

Additional Requirements: Experience in online sales, e-learning platforms, or edtech industry is highly desirable. Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events. Passion for education and a commitment to driving positive impact through online learning initiatives.
