International Operational Excellence (OE) is responsible for supporting our international issuing and acquiring businesses across 27+ countries and ensuring they have a robust first line of defense.International OE plays an active role in enabling the businesses to meet their growth objectives while demonstrating an effective control framework.Our organization helps our international businesses manage risk, respond to new regulation, and develop new products while creating and nurturing effective partnerships across multiple key stakeholders across the organisation.

How will you make an impact in this role

This position has the responsibility to drive design, implementation and execution of Operational Risk Programs related to India Data Localization (IDL) e.g. Ongoing Controls Testing and Monitoring, Process Risk Self-Assessment (PRSA) certification & assessment, Operational Risk Events (OREs), Change Management, Enterprise Resilience program coordination for American Express Banking Corp. (AEBC), etc.This IDL Program Management role requires extensive engagement with Technology, Risk and Information Security teams across various facets of 1st line of defense including but not limited to meeting Regulatory Compliances, Regulatory Interactions/Clarifications, Regulatory Change Management Implementation Projects, measuring & monitoring Control Effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Act as the central point of co-ordination for India Data Localization Program from International Operational Excellence team - Drive Payment & Settlements Systems ( PSS) Audit/ System Audit Report (SAR) for American Express Network IDL compliances, ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Reserve Bank of India's Department of Payment & Settlements Systems.
• Manage Regulatory Interactions/ clarifications related to IDL SAR certifications as well as co-ordinate with Application Owners, Compliance on Information Security teams to ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
• Run first line of defense IDL Controls testing and monitoring framework with application owners and data custodians.
• Perform all Legal Entity governance requirements relating to the program by presenting in Bank Operational Risk Management Committee (ORMC), Country Executive Committee (CEC) & AEBC Board.
• Maintain strong relationship with business partners & all stakeholders within the Bank and across the enterprise, as required to ensure that all the management reviews are executed effectively.
• Liaison with the Central Technology, Risk and Information Security organization to ensure that appropriate changes are made to the impacted applications and develop new controls, where required.
• Support Project Management of other Complex Business and Tech changes as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven program management skills and strong program management experience.
• Regulatory Exam management from a Technology and/or Info Sec perspective highly desirable
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, alongside excellent data analytical skills, and reporting
• Highly organized with strong ability to manage well to priorities and deliverables

Required Skillset

Program/Domain Knowledge:

• Understanding Data architecture and Infrastructure - BID, E3 environment, Playbook, Global App infrastructure and environment, re-routing to local instance
• Application Scope - logic used, identification process, sign-offs
• Logs - Masterfile, Decision log, Action log, IDL Arena, Risk and Issues log
• Data Migration and Purging - data routing information, purging confirmations, Demo
• E2E Tech Integration - Velocity, UAT, other Testing, Sign-Offs
• SAR understanding/evaluation
• Payment Ecosystem understanding
