Role is based in Dubai- UAE (not a remote role)
The Real Time Senior Platform Owner will be responsible for all the real time platforms across the Bank. Real Time platforms are those that interact with external customers and internal staff real time such as viewing transactions within an account through the mobile app. These technologies include Kafka, Data API’s, Central Logging using ELK stack, Flink, Beam and Pushpin for web sockets. These are critical in driving and increasing customer satisfaction through our channels providing data on demand. Real time technologies will drive customer interaction through mobile and online channels, along with many other opportunities such as preventing fraud and driving real time marketing. This role is accountable for owning the real time platforms from end to end. Different areas such as digital office, business or other areas of Group IT may leverage this platform for their requirements, however ownership overall will reside with this role. Specifications and Experience required:- IT based degree, university degree, or equivalent work experience required At least 5 years in real time technologies such as Kafka, Flink, Spark, Beam , and so on. Experience within complex environments defined by high availability, high transaction rate and geographical complexity Track record of delivering real time projects and managing real time systems for large organizations. Technical/Functional: Expertise in Real Time technologies Real time processes and implementation of these to drive customer value. The leader must have the knowledge to drive a long-term strategy that will leverage new technologies. Strong understanding to the technical application risks, security, compliance and audit requirements. Demonstrated change and transformation management of complex environments Managerial: Excellent communications, people management, coaching, leadership and strategic planning Team management experience for 10 plus staff members.
