Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Consultation: Engage with retail clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and technical requirements. Provide expert advice and recommendations on technology solutions that align with their strategic goals.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with internal teams to design comprehensive and tailored technical solutions for retail clients. Develop detailed proposals, including system architecture, implementation plans, and cost estimates.
- Implementation: Oversee the implementation and deployment of technology solutions, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems and minimal disruption to business operations. Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting as needed.
- Training and Support: Conduct training sessions for retail staff on the use and maintenance of implemented technology solutions. Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure optimal system performance and user satisfaction.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail clients, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for all technical inquiries and assistance. Proactively identify opportunities for additional services or upgrades to enhance client satisfaction and drive revenue growth.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in the retail sector. Share insights and best practices with clients and internal teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials, to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of technology solutions.
The Successful Applicant
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in technical consulting, preferably within the retail industry.
- Deep understanding of retail operations and business processes.
- Strong proficiency in software development, systems integration, and database management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams at all levels.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP Retail, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management, and e-commerce platforms.
- Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
