Responsibilities:

  1. Consultation: Engage with retail clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and technical requirements. Provide expert advice and recommendations on technology solutions that align with their strategic goals.
  2. Solution Design: Collaborate with internal teams to design comprehensive and tailored technical solutions for retail clients. Develop detailed proposals, including system architecture, implementation plans, and cost estimates.
  3. Implementation: Oversee the implementation and deployment of technology solutions, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems and minimal disruption to business operations. Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting as needed.
  4. Training and Support: Conduct training sessions for retail staff on the use and maintenance of implemented technology solutions. Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure optimal system performance and user satisfaction.
  5. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail clients, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for all technical inquiries and assistance. Proactively identify opportunities for additional services or upgrades to enhance client satisfaction and drive revenue growth.
  6. Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in the retail sector. Share insights and best practices with clients and internal teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  7. Documentation: Create and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials, to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of technology solutions.

The Successful Applicant

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  2. Proven experience in technical consulting, preferably within the retail industry.
  3. Deep understanding of retail operations and business processes.
  4. Strong proficiency in software development, systems integration, and database management.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams at all levels.
  6. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP Retail, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
  2. Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management, and e-commerce platforms.
  3. Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools.
  4. Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
