Job Title: Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Systems Design Engineer
Job Description:
As a Photovoltaic Solar Systems Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and implementation of residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar energy systems. Your responsibilities will encompass system testing, design modifications, documentation preparation, and Bill of Materials (BOM) creation for project finalization. We are seeking an individual with a self-learning mindset, demonstrating the ability to acquire and apply new knowledge to continually evolve as a top-tier design engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
System Design and Optimization:
Develop and optimize PV solar systems for residential, commercial, and utility applications.
Test and evaluate new system configurations to enhance performance and efficiency.
Implement design changes based on testing outcomes and industry advancements.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare comprehensive design reports, including system specifications, schematics, and performance analyses.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication of design aspects.
Bill of Materials (BOM) Creation:
Generate detailed BOMs for all materials required for project execution.
Work closely with procurement teams to ensure the availability of materials in a timely manner.
Monitor and update BOMs to reflect any design changes or modifications.
Continuous Learning and Development:
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in solar energy systems.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to self-learning, adapting to new methodologies, tools, and design standards.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the design team.
Primary Skills:
Solar Energy System Design:
Proven experience in designing residential, commercial, and utility-scale PV solar systems.
Strong understanding of photovoltaic technology, solar inverters, and balance of system components.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in using design tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, or equivalent.
Knowledge of electrical system design principles and relevant codes and standards.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to analyze system performance data and implement improvements.
Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Project Management:
Basic project management skills to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
