Job Summary

NetApp is well known in the industry for its culture, and as an innovator who introduced many industry firsts - Storage Efficiency being one of them. The Storage Efficiency team at NetApp Bangalore is responsible for developing and enhancing enterprise-class data storage efficiency solutions specifically designed for large scale on OnPrem, Public and Private cloud deployments. As a seasoned software engineer, you will work as part of a team of skilled and passionate engineers responsible for participating in the design, development, debugging, maintenance & testing. This position requires an individual to be creative, team-oriented, technology savvy, and driven to produce results.

Job Requirements

• Solid programming skills in C/C++
• Strong understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures, and standard programming practices
• Debugging skills on SW issues in a Linux environment
• In-depth understanding of Linux programming, Kernel Internals, system calls, shared libraries, makefiles, Multithreaded programming
• Storage Domain experience
• Experience with REST API, Cloud, and Virtualization environments is a plus

Nice to Have

• Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Work collaboratively within and outside the team of other engineers and Sr leaders
• Ability to estimate work completion for project planning
• Ability to drive design and implementation of project features
• Requires limited supervision and direction, as this individual can operate, drive results
• Successfully convey information to stakeholders at many levels related to the position

Education

• 5-8 years of industry experience in the relevant domain is required
• B.Tech/BE in CSE/ECE, a master's degree, or equivalent experience is required.
