Job description
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Developer to work within a very exciting and challenging role on a new strategic financial application. The successful candidate will be working with a specialized technical teams serving a wide range of buines groups.
The position is part of the IT team and involves close interaction with Citco IT System Architects, Business Analysts, QA Teams and other technical groups and resources.
Job Duties in Brief:
Gain exposure and expertise in core skills with a view to developing as technical leaders within the organisation
Work with the core technology group to gain the knowledge and expertise required to provide the support and knowledge and guidance to business
Proactively design, develop and code solutions in accordance with development best practices and current development technologies
Enhance, optimize and expand current installations to meet new business challenges
Systems documentation and knowledge base management for support efficiencies
Other IT application related task.
About You :
Required IT skills
o The ideal candidate will have proven experience in development of enterprise level J2EE applications (or other enterprise development technologies) and delivering efficient and scalable solutions.
Beneficial IT skills
o Experience in some the following technologies would be beneficial: Java, Spring, Hibernate, Angular, IBM IIB/ACE, IBM MQ, EJB, WebSphere Application Server, JBOSS Web Services
o EXTJS experience
o The candidate should be comfortable using a source control system, such as Git etc.
o Linux Unix OS exposure (scripting)
o Experience with Java unit test frameworks and tools, such as JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, and with 3rd party apps, Java, Oracle , SQL
o SOAP or REST services experience
Personal skills
o We are looking for ambitious individuals are keen to develop their technical skills in a dynamic environment
o Strong interpersonal, communication skills and the ability to deal effectively in a team environment
o The candidate must be able to present diagnostic, troubleshooting steps and conclusions to a varied audience
Additional Beneficial Attributes/Skills:
o The ideal candidate would have 3 to 5 years experience specializing in IT/Computing - software or equivalent, with hands-on experience in programming (development or maintenance) quantitative/risk management applications in a financial environment (Bank, Insurance, Asset Management etc.)
o A working knowledge of FinTech environments would be a significant plus
