Job description
The Finance Controller is a key supporting role for the CFO and plays a pivotal role in managing multiple functions including but not limited to Financial Reporting, Treasury Back Office, Accounting, controllership, Taxation, AP, Revenue Assurance and Regulatory Reporting etc.
Key Activities
a. Provide leadership to Financial & Regulatory Reporting, Taxation, Controllership, Revenue Assurance, Accounts Payable and Treasury Back office functions
b. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting and financial reporting procedures through observations and supervision
c. Work closely with Business finance and business teams to ensure timely and quality deliverables
d. Will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating and delivering on all internal and statutory audits
e. Establish effective co-ordination with group companies, external and internal stakeholders for compliance with inter-company transactions including Transfer Pricing
f. Performs other related duties as requested
Key Skills needed (Behavioural and functional)
· Should have handled the financial controllership function independently
· Experience of handling Annual Financial Inspection of the RBI
· Excellent managerial skills and ability to evaluate the work of others
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Working knowledge of bank's applicable financial practices and procedures, as well as a thorough understanding of regulatory and statutory rules and regulations.
· Knowledge of Ind-AS as applicable to the financial services Industry
Qualification & Experience
a. Chartered Accounts or equivalent qualification
b. 10-12 years of experience in banking/financial services Industry
c. Experience of handling large team size (minimum 15+)
