Job description
Responsibilities :- Provide technical support to data scientists using the platform (both internal and external)- Troubleshoot technical issues on the platform using Kubernetes, Airflow, Spark, Jupyterhub, Gluster, Azure, and AWS- Write software as needed to ensure system reliability- Read and debug data science models written in languages like Python, Spark, R, etc.- Manage trouble tickets assigned to the platform- Escalate issues to the platform team, other business units, and vendors when necessary- Handle multiple priorities and work requests with a sense of urgencya Little Bit About You :If you are passionate about DevOps and cloud-based systems and enjoy working with cutting-edge technologies in an environment that encourages exploration, learning, and creativity, then Nielsen is the right place for you.- You love solving problems for clients and bringing new ideas to their business.- Curiosity, communication, and critical thinking drive your work.- You excel in managing relationships, expectations, and projects.- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.Qualifications :- BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience- Passionate about cloud technology and statistical modeling- Working knowledge of Python- Experience with Unix/Linux based platforms- Experience with at least one cloud-based platform (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCE, OpenStack)- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Cloudformation, Ansible, or similar technologies- Knowledge of additional programming languages like Ruby, Scala, JavaScript, R, or C++- Experience with container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes, Mesos, ECS, or Docker Swarm- Experience building or maintaining statistical models (ref:hirist.tech)
