Vadodara (Gujarat), a wholly owned subsidiary of AK-LLC (USA), operating in the field of power electronics, has as an immediate opening for a Logistics Specialist. As a Logistics Specialist , you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the logistical operations within our organization. Your primary focus will be on managing the movement of goods and ensuring the efficiency of supply chain processes. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to streamline logistics operations. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies to optimize the local and international supply chain and logistics processes. Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure a seamless flow of goods. Manage inventory levels to prevent overstock or stockouts. Implement inventory tracking systems to monitor stock movements and minimize losses. Negotiate with transportation providers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to achieve cost efficiencies. Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to logistics and transportation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for shipments, customs, and other logistics-related processes. Implement and utilize logistics management software and technology to enhance operational efficiency. Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and disruptions in the supply chain. Collaborate with various departments, including procurement, manufacturing, and sales, to align logistics processes with overall business objectives. Communicate effectively with external partners, such as suppliers and transportation providers, to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience in international logistics management. Must have experience in the logistics of shipping hazardous materials. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office suite. Familiarity with relevant local and international regulations and compliance requirements for hazardous and non-hazardous materials shipping.Job tags
