Job Description - Research, design, and develop print and online documentation for a variety of audiences for software products in accordance with product release schedule and the Documentation team style guidelines.
- Collaborate with product owners/SMEs to understand the requirements and features being built in the product and convert them into user comprehensible document.
- Must be a self-starter who pushes through their projects with minimal direction/handholding.
- Must have strong interviewing skills and be capable of building relationships with multiple subject matter experts.
- Must have a strong desire to add value to the customer's experience and overall success.
- Must have strong work ethics.
Responsibilities - Plan, create, and produce written documentation for systems, products, software, and technologies - including user guides, release notes, and training materials.
- Analyze and summarize functional specifications and work with demo or prototypes to understand product functionality.
- Run quality checks on deliverables before sending them to customers.
- Actively participate in the Agile Ceremonies.
Required Skillset - 1-2 years in technical writing and technical document creation on software products. Working knowledge of a code repository like GitHub is a plus.
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the technical writing field.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving and teamwork skills.
- Technical aptitude with desire to master advanced desktop publishing tools.
- Can-do attitude, willingness to expand knowledge base, and grace under deadline pressure.
- Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate, interview subject matter experts, and work quickly and effectively in a quality-oriented team environment.
- Pays attention to detail.
- Experience with Adobe FrameMaker and Adobe Acrobat is desirable.
- Research skills including gathering and analyzing data from multiple sources.
- Manage multiple assignments in parallel and meet all documentation deliverable deadlines.
Qualification - Graduate in any discipline but an engineering graduate is preferable.
