A corporate finance person is responsible for helping an organization or company make important business decisions based on financial data.
He/she performs critical roles in business by analysing and examining data and coming up with accurate and efficient information on profitability, credibility, solidity, and liquidity.
He/she is responsible for operating regularly with the company's goals and financial situation in mind.
Should gathering and summarizing data in order to develop complex reports that clearly show the company or organization's financial status and any risks that may arise.
He/she must also ensure that suitable finance best practice is applied across all fields of assigned projects.
Establish and Monitor Group policies/SOP and governance, SOX requirement/Internal controls
Preparation and review of Financial/ MIS reporting on monthly basis, Cash Budgeting for short term and long-term objectives, Accurate provisioning of the Overheads, Salaries and Marketing spends etc.
Oversight and understanding of GL account reconciliations, controls, quality and accuracy
Group level legal entity strategy, planning and business alignment, supporting mergers and restructuring projects
Partner with the finance leadership team to support all key group level goals
Corporate Finance
Assessing and creating or developing business cases and investment proposals for divisional and corporate projects
Examining and coordinating business plans, inspecting planning assumptions, and identifying and resolving any issue that may arise
Making clear and concise recommendations to stakeholders.
Analysing new investment and business opportunities through valuation models
Evaluating cross-company activities for best-practices efficiency opportunities
Analysing the organization's daily cash position and determining where money should be invested
Developing and implementing a model or methodology that maximizes lost profits
Recording, interpreting, and reporting financial information in support of general business operations and long-range tactical planning functions
Preparing materials for senior management presentations for the board of directors, and also assisting with the preparation of annual reports, financial statement forecasts, and variances
Producing ad-hoc analysis, research, financial reporting, and progress reports to senior management
Evaluating and executing M&A (Mergers and acquisitions) and other investment opportunities
Analysing valuation and returns
Oversight of transaction due diligence
Negotiation of transaction documentation including sales and purchase agreements and other legal documents
Deal structuring and other transaction related matters
Liaising with business stakeholders across all levels to achieve transactional goals
Managing relationships with banks and other stakeholders on financing requirements
Maintaining abreast of the changing business landscape in order to identify opportunities to drive both organic and inorganic growth
Job Requirements
Qualified Chartered Accountant with 6-8 years of Experience in the industry
Experience in Accounting for India GAAP/IFRS, knowledge about US GAAP added advantage
Forward Thinker with problem solving skills, Team Player and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Excellent report writing and Communication skills,
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP preferably Microsoft Navision and other Financial Planning software
