Today, we are present at every stage of the LNG cycle – we find gas fields, extract, and liquefy gas, trade and ship LNG, and turn it back into gas before distributing it to customers. Our large energy trading business enables us to provide reliable, flexible gas and LNG supply and connect buyers to sellers to meet the needs of customers all over the world.

In this role, you will be collaborating with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations technical support team and HSSE. You will based in our SEIPL site at Hazira, where there is a wide range of operation that includes operating a complex power supply system, syncing Grid power as well as own Gas Turbine Generators, LNG Unloading operations from ships, Self-sustaining utilities like Nitrogen & Inst Air, Large Vaporisation equipment like Combustion and Open rack vaporisers, sea-water and cryogenic pumps, 14 Km pipeline outside the terminal boundary, custody transfer of Gas to various pipeline network and Truck loading units associated Control & Shutdown systems.

What's the role

As Associate Process Field Officer, you will manage the following aspects:

  • Ensure safe and compliant field operations as per instructions from PFO & SS. This includes accurate reporting of emergencies, effective communication during emergencies, and adherence to emergency response plans.
  • Conduct field preparation, LOTO, and equipment handover for maintenance.
  • Verify permit conditions and provide clearance for work.
  • Responsible for equipment isolation plans and accurate gas testing.
  • Intervene in unsafe acts and report leaks. Conduct shift handover with work details.
  • Act as First Intervention Team during emergencies.
  • Manage shutdown and startup activities.
  • Provide input for troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in digitalization initiatives.
  • Contribute to operating procedures and perform defined HSE critical tasks.
  • Monitor permit to work and manage SIMOPS.
  • Have a good understanding of field equipment locations and consequences of operations.
  • Prepare isolation schemes for maintenance activities.

What we need from you:

  • Preferably with Diploma/ B Sc with minimum of 4 yrs experience out of which at least one year operation in hydrocarbon plant.
  • Excellent understanding of standard system of work, Hazards & Effect Management. You should be aware of groups' & and companies' policy & objectives.
  • Possess good understanding of hydrocarbon plant operation and various safety and process safety procedures, their effect of deviation on operations. Should possess good understanding of cryogenic liquid (LNG) handling and its effect on man and material.
  • Awareness of design basis of the plant equipment, their functioning and various protections (cause & Effect, process control philosophy, controls & Emergency shutdowns). You should be conversant about the plant operating procedure for safe operation of the plant.
  • Good communication skills for shift log writeup and should have the ability to communicate clearly for daily plant operation as well as in case of emergency.
  • Ability to give inputs to improve good work instructions and must have ability to understand criticality of his role defined in the work instruction.
  • Awareness about HAZOP, plant safety reviews, HSE CASE (HEMP) and their finding.
  • Ability to perform LN2, LNG tanker unloading / Loading operation and invoicing.
  • Possess basic firefighting skill and perform duty as a FIT.
  • Awareness level in PIML, Procedure accelerator and other digital platforms of reporting.
