OVERVIEW
The Financial Systems Integration (FSI) team oversees our core financial systems (SAP, BW, Blackline, HFM), providing leadership on our month-end close and consolidation process and guiding the business and other key stakeholders on our financial systems, data and processes.
As the Finance Master Data & Blackline Analyst, you will be accountable for the governance framework for critical financial master data elements maintained in SAP such as General Ledger Account, Cost Hierarchy, Cost Centers, Cost Center Assessments, Profit Hierarchy, and recurring journal entries. You will also have a strong tie into the oversight and administration security access for our SAP, BW and Blackline financial systems. Additionally, in support of the Blackline System & Process Lead, you will manage the technical administration of both the journal entry and account reconciliation modules performing such activities as: the execution and oversight of data transfers to and from SAP, maintenance of system variants and data structures, updating ownership assignments for monthly execution of core processes and supporting and troubleshooting end-user and technical issues within the system. You will also be engaged on projects and initiatives in the relative spaces as deemed necessary. Critical success factors include the ability to assist in design of system architecture and processes, effectively testing designs, and communicating with and educating users and a strong overall customer service orientation. In this role you will partner with other data stewards, finance accounting experts, Digital and Technology (D&T) analysts, Global Security, and end users.
In this role, you will get exposure to the following experiences: global responsibility, own a significant functional process, global & cross functional leadership and govern and/or execute control activities. It will also allow you to develop & apply numerous finance core capabilities including financial acumen and more specialized governance capabilities - process excellence and governance expertise.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Own core financial master data elements: define and document related policies and maintain/adapt as needed
• Own administration of security access and security roles to key financial systems – SAP (ECC), SAP (BW) & Blackline
• Provide administrative support on the Blackline tool used for Journal Entries and Account Reconciliations
• Work with other finance and cross-functional stewards to identify critical points of dependency and required partnership
• Lead in establishing effective data quality requirements; partner with service organization to enable and define process requirements for resolution
• Provide thought leadership & delivery execution of prioritized projects or transformation efforts
• Provide outstanding global end user support resolution (timely, effective, sustainable tools, etc.)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Computer Science or related field
• 3-5 years of previous applicable experience
• Deep expertise of GMI financial systems, transactional processes, and data structures
• Understanding of key interdependencies with other cross-functional data sets
• Strong technical and business partner communication skills
• Process oriented with focus on consistency and integrity
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with continuous improvement approaches
• Previous experience (maintenance owner or end user) with Blackline
