Detailed description:
Job Purpose: Visteon is looking for BMS- Software Architect for Electrification Domain who would be responsible for providing technical and design leadership for customer programs
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Performs trade-off analysis, Architect, design and develop efficient and portable SWC Core components that can be deployed across regions and customer programs.
- Specifies the architecturally significant requirements for a Project.
- Ensures optimal usage of critical resources from software perspective (RAM, ROM, CPU load, I/O Ports, Hardware Function deployment in case of dual micro solution…)
- Create and maintains platform's Software Implementation Report (SIR).
- Drives Project technical design decisions (High Level Design & Detailed Design) within / between scrum team(s).
- Leads design reviews and participates in critical code reviews.
- Leads technical assessment (SIR, risks, technical assumptions, critical resource estimations) supporting Product Owner during program quotes.
- Collects and cascades Lessons Learned (LL) within the project team and / or across similar project teams.
- Leads the planning and execution of technical skill enhancement of the team.
Key Performance Indicators:
- On time, delivery of all work products that meet or exceed quality norms.
- SW Architecture and High-level designs and requirements coverage
- Capturing the Architecture with appropriate views (Quality)
- Work breakdown at the module level.
- Effective use of design patterns

Critical experiences required to be ready for this job :
- Minimum 13+ years of experience in embedded Software development experience with C/C++. A minimum of 10+ experience in automotive - and 3+ years in electrification domain (EV powertrain, Battery management).
- Lead at least 2 electrification projects from start to launch
- Have defined and implemented Software Architecture through design tools like UML.(Rhapsody, EA)
- Experience in BMS Algorithms SOC, SOH, SOF, Current & Voltage measurements, Coulomb counting, Kalman Filtering.
- Experience in Model based estimations, balancing algorithms and Charge/Discharge control
- Experience in Over voltage/ Under voltage / Over current protection and temperature compensation algorithms
- Strong knowledge of AUTOSAR. (ASILC/D, Multi-core, lock-step)
- Experience in handling safe communication.
- Experience in implementing ISO 26262 safety standards. (ASIL C/D, Safety SW Architecture)
- CPU Profiling, Memory analysis and optimization techniques
- Startup analysis
- Experience in ASPICE process
- Experience in problem solving and process improvement.
- Strong organizational skills, plus detail-oriented and accurate analytical skills
- Good Communication skills.
Special/regulatory requirements - if any (e.g. qualification/certification, language capability, extensive travel etc.) -
- Bachelors or Post Graduate degree in Computer Science or related Engineering
