Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA): 5 years of experience in a relevant field or Non-CA: 10+ years of experience, with an MBA as mandatory education & Minimum of 8 years of Accounts Payable (AP) experience
- Should have worked on Indian Accounting only
Skills:
Reconciliation Skills:
- Vendor & Bank reconciliation expertise.
- Proficiency in handling indirect & direct taxation reconciliations.
- Experience in GST and TDS compliance.
Financial Reporting & Closing :
- Strong knowledge of closing processes and reporting.
- Responsible for month-end closing activities.
ERP & Accounting Tools:
- Hands-on experience with Tally or any other ERP tool.
Expense Management:
- Handling employee reimbursement and purchase books.
Communication Skills:
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Job Responsibilities -
1. Management and Leadership:
- Handling Accounts Payable Department: Supervising and managing a team of 5-7 individuals, overseeing their tasks, and ensuring smooth departmental operations.
2. Vendor and Supplier Payments:
- Timely and Accurate Payments: Ensuring that payments to vendors and suppliers are made promptly and accurately, maintaining strong relationships with them.
3. Purchase Cost Management:
- Correct Booking of Purchase Costs: Ensuring accurate and timely recording of purchase costs in the books of accounts, maintaining financial accuracy.
4. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
- SOP Preparation: Developing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures for each process within the Accounts Payable function to streamline operations and ensure consistency.
5. Employee Reimbursement:
- Handling Employee Reimbursements: Managing the process for employee reimbursement, ensuring adherence to policies and timely processing.
6. Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) Compliance:
- TDS Compliance: Ensuring compliance with TDS regulations on all payments made by the organization, maintaining accurate records and filings.
7. Month-End Provisions and Processes:
- Month-End Procedures: Creating month-end provisions and overseeing the month-end closing process to ensure accuracy and completeness.
8. Reconciliation and Balance Confirmations:
- Timely Reconciliation: Conducting reconciliations and obtaining balance confirmations from suppliers/vendors on time to maintain accurate financial records.
9. Process Automation:
- Automation Initiatives: Identifying opportunities for process automation within Accounts Payable, improving efficiency, and accuracy, and reducing manual efforts.
