Job description

A leading Trade Body and Chamber of Commerce is looking for talented technical professionals to join its Design department contributing to its engagement in diverse areas from advocacy, training, policy challenges and working closely with the government. It is not only a challenging opportunity but a chance to hone skills as a thought leader.

Role of Executive Officer - Design based in Gurgaon :

• Leading policy discussion on Innovation and Design, guiding stakeholders and tracking policy developments across a wide spectrum on design interventions.
• Work closely with the Government departments/ Ministries to identify opportunities for projects beneficial for industry stakeholders.
• Generate inquiries / leads for engaging the industry for Design projects and services (training program, awards and publications), convert into assignments & deliver the same through own knowledge & in-house and networked experts.
• Work closely with International Design Councils and bodies for promotion of Indian design in the external world. Explore potential projects and strategic high-level dialogues between key stakeholders from different countries.
• Map the people working in Design schools or Design centres for the candidature.
• Prepare subject specific reports, recommendations, white papers in consultation with external stakeholders, members and internal team.
• Work closely with the members of the National Committee on Design for inputs on various design initiatives and manage the sub-group / steering committees.
• Work on business development aspects of design related initiatives such as program, awards, events within Design vertical.

Qualifications

Masters degree in Design/ Design Management with 4-8 years experience in a Design firm, industry, academic and research institutions and international organizations

Skillset Required

• Managing client relationship and communications
• Self-driven, independent and motivated.
• Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and spoken English.
• Good computer skills, including confident use of Microsoft Office applications.
