Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, company registration, tax deductions, and GST returns.
Responsibilities - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Manage the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and other subsidiary ledgers
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports
- Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and GST
- Manage the company registration process and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Stay informed of changes in accounting regulations and tax laws
- Prepare and analyze financial data to support management decision-making
- Assist with the development and implementation of internal controls
- May supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and GST regulations
- Proficient in accounting software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
