As a Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the server-side logic of our applications. you will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying scalable and reliable enterprise applications using Java, Node.js, and related technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative products and be a part of a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities - Collaborate with the Lead, Product Development, and team members to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Design and implement scalable and efficient backend solutions.
- Develop and maintain APIs to support other Integrated systems
- Integrate data storage solutions and ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Debug and resolve technical issues, ensuring high levels of application performance, security, and scalability.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in development.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
- 3 years of experience in software development or a related field
- 2 years of experience in database technologies
- Proficient in Java
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with backend frameworks - Spring or related frameworks
- Strong knowledge of NOSQL database management systems
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Understanding of CI/CD.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Test-driven development.
Bonus Skills - Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
- Understanding of security best practices in web development.
