JD: Manual QA Engineer
(Experience: 1.5 years to 3 years) Location: Bangalore (Hybrid Mode of work) We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manual testing processes, a keen eye for detail, and expertise in utilizing tools such as GitHub. This role places a particular emphasis on incorporating Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) principles into the testing cycle of both technical and design aspects of our products. Responsibilities Manual Testing: Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications, ensuring that all features meet specified requirements. Create comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project specifications. Perform regression testing to identify and address any potential issues. Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into executable BDD scenarios. Implement BDD frameworks and work closely with developers to ensure BDD scenarios align with the overall project goals. GitHub Integration Utilize GitHub for collaboration with development teams. Manage test cases, test data, and other testing artifacts within GitHub repositories. Collaborate with developers on issue tracking and resolution using GitHub. Testing Cycle For Tech And Design Work closely with design teams to understand user interface requirements and execute UI testing. Verify the integration of design elements into the overall functionality of the software. Coordinate with developers to understand technical specifications and execute comprehensive testing of backend functionalities. Defect Tracking And Reporting Identify, document, and track defects. Provide detailed defect reports to development teams and work collaboratively to ensure timely resolution. Continuous Improvement Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives within the QA team. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in testing methodologies. Requirements Minimum of 1.5 years of practical experience in the capacity of a Manual QA Engineer or a comparable role Strong understanding of manual testing processes and methodologies. Proficiency in using GitHub for version control and collaboration. Experience with Manual Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks and JIRA Strong understanding and implementation with testing cycles for both development and design aspects. Excellent in working with website, web apps, and mobile apps Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality software. Education And Certifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in manual testing or quality assurance are a plus.Job tags
