Job Description As a Cloud Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the optimal performance, security, and reliability of our cloud-based solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, system administration, and network management.
Key Responsibilities - Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud solutions on Azure and AWS platforms.
- Ensure the scalability, availability, and security of cloud-based applications.
- System Administration:
- Administer and maintain Linux and Windows servers.
- Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues promptly.
- Network Administration:
- Configure and manage network devices to ensure seamless connectivity.
- Monitor network performance and implement necessary optimizations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.
- Automation:
- Develop and implement automation scripts for routine tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
- Basic programming skills for infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud environments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide effective cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to enhance overall system performance.
- Containerization and Orchestration:
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Monitoring and Logging:
- Proficiency in implementing monitoring and logging solutions for cloud environments.
- Experience with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Azure Monitor.
- Database Management:
- Knowledge of database administration, particularly in cloud-based databases (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Amazon RDS).
- Skills in optimizing database performance and ensuring data integrity.
- Identity and Access Management (IAM):
- Implement and manage IAM solutions to control access to cloud resources securely.
- Familiarity with Azure Active Directory, AWS IAM, or similar identity management platforms.
- DevOps Practices:
- Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
- Integration of CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
- Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud-based systems.
- Conduct regular testing of recovery procedures.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows system administration.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
- Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
