Overview of the Internship

This internship is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in two exciting fields: venture capital and consulting. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work with experienced professionals who are passionate about helping entrepreneurs succeed. You will also have the opportunity to network with entrepreneurs and other stakeholders in the US and Latin American technology ecosystem. The internship is for a period of one year, after which the intern will be offered a position as an investment analyst, research analyst, or consulting analyst.

Role Description

• Reports To: Managing Partner
• This is a full-time role for Investment, Research, and Consulting Interns

We are seeking highly motivated and talented interns to join our team at Arise Ventures, a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage technology companies in Latin America, US. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with our investment team on a variety of projects, including:

• Conducting due diligence on potential investments
• Preparing investment memos and presentations
• Attending investor meetings and industry events
• Networking with entrepreneurs and other stakeholders in the technology ecosystem

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with our consulting and research team at Tholons, a consulting and research firm that helps clients build global team and innovation hubs, catalysed by Generative AI. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Conduct market research and analysis
• Develop client presentations and proposals
• Attend client meetings and industry events
• Network with business leaders and other stakeholders in the global technology ecosystem

Responsibilities:

• Conduct due diligence on potential investments
• Prepare investment memos and presentations

• Network with entrepreneurs and other stakeholders in the Latin American, US and India technology ecosystems

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate student in business, finance, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for technology and entrepreneurship
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus for Latin America positions
