Senior Java Developer 100% REMOTE
Day-to-Day This person will work within an Engineering team responsible for providing application development, troubleshooting, and maintenance for multiple operationally critical applications within the supply chain space. The primary responsibilities of this role are to help the team maintain current legacy applications and work to continuously improve upon existing processes & tools and also developing and modernizing applications. He/she will become expert on multiple applications maintained by the team (understand business processes, application behavior, business operations, priorities and criticality), prioritize issues for triage/trouble-shooting by self and/or team, and participate in ticket trouble-shooting individually and with peers. Will interface regularly with peer Development teams, peer support teams, Business Partners & stores for investigations, triaging, workaround communications, outage notifications, and assessments to improve existing processes. Must-haves Extensive experience with Java application development Experience in various application bug fixes, escalated troubleshooting, scaling, etc. Object-oriented design & analysis skills Good communication skills/able to explain situations as clearly and briefly as possible via email/phone/in-person to peers, Leadership & audience external to team (Stores, Business Partners, Vendors, etc.)Job tags
