The Senior Automation Engineer for Cytiva is responsible for working with internal and external customers to resolve customer issues, fix defects, and maintain and improve our products throughout the products life cycle.
This position is part of the Automation Engineering team located in Bangalore and will be hybrid. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Interface with project leadership and other project disciplines to ensure automation requirements and scope are understood
- Responsible for the generation of detailed automation design documents and test plans to ensure alignment with agreed technical approach and compliance with functional specifications
- Troubleshooting of software defects and customer issues
- Resolve technical questions and concerns through interaction with customers, vendors, and internal personnel
- Perform overall project lead role for smaller scope projects
The essential requirements of the job include: - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related STEM Major and 10+ years of process automation experience in a regulated industry
- Demonstrated experience in the programming of Rockwell, AVEVA and Siemens PLC systems
- Comprehensive understanding of and strong hands-on experience with application development and system/hardware integration
- Experienced with stage gate engineering design processes
- Able to work independently with minimal direction
- Excellent cross-functional teamwork, coordination, and communication skills
- Knowledge of common industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, OPC, and EtherNet/IP
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: - Experience applying GAMP-5 and Software Development Lifecycle Management
- Familiarity with DeltaV software, hardware and infrastructure design
- Knowledge of governing regulations, specifically 21 CFR part 11 and Eudralex Volume 4 Annex 11
