Job description

Head - Central Engineering Technology: Looking for a candidate who will be groomed over a period of 3-4 years to head the technology function at the apex level and cater to the outrageous growth plans. The person must be a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, leadership qualities, and cultural sensitivity.

Key traits and competencies include: *Strong understanding of diverse technologies relevant to manufacturing, engineering, transmission, automotive, electronics, and medical products. Expertise in areas such as IoT, AI, automation, and data analytics.

*Ability to envision and articulate a long-term technology roadmap aligned with the organization's growth objectives; identify emerging trends, assess competitive landscapes, and anticipate future technology disruptions.

*A good understanding of business operations, market dynamics, and customer needs within the manufacturing and engineering sectors. Ability to leverage technology to drive innovation, optimize processes, and create new revenue streams.

*Proven track record of leading high-performing teams across geographies and cultures. This involves effective communication, talent development, and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

*Ability to drive organizational change and navigate complexity in a rapidly evolving business environment. Manage resistance, overcome barriers, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

*Experience in building strategic partnerships with technology vendors, industry associations, research institutions, and government agencies to stay ahead of the curve and access cutting-edge resources and expertise.

*Anticipate and mitigate potential technology risks such as regulatory compliance issues, intellectual capital and data privacy concerns.

*Deal with diverse cultural and regulatory landscape, adapt strategies and approaches accordingly

*Ability to effectively engage and influence key stakeholders including senior leadership, board members, customers, suppliers, and employees to garner support for technology initiatives and investments

*A track record of delivering tangible business results and driving measurable impact through technology initiatives and delivering competitive advantage.
