Role
The
Audit Senior role will be to support the manager finish the engagement. This may include finalising certain sections of the file which remain unfinished and clear review points. Some client contact may be necessary..
Audit Supervisor role will additionally need to help complete a file to the stage where there is minimum review required by the partner. This will require ownership of review points and proactiveness to get the job done. Ad hoc engagements to be performed from time to time. Act as a bridge between Audit Senior and Manager.
Specific Technical Skills - Must have a strong understanding of auditing standards.
- Must understand accounting principles.
- Must understand financial reports, how they are prepared and how to check these using disclosure checklists.
- Must understand consolidations and statement of cashflows.
- Must have some understanding of the Australian Corporations Act 2001.
- Must have knowledge and expertise with auditing software. Our strong preference is that this person has a strong understanding of CaseWare.
- Must be capable of using other types of software including excel, word, practice management software, email and dropbox.
Qualifications And Experience - Would need a minimum of 5+ years experience in audit for Senior Auditor and 7+ years for Supervisor/ AM role.
- Degree qualified in Commerce, Business or equivalent.
- CA Qualified is mandatory.
- Min. 2 years of experience with Australian Audits is essential.
- Desired industry knowledge: mining, producers and explorers, ASX listed entities, large private companies operating in wholesale and retail, some manufacturing knowledge, engineering mining services.
Capability - Capable of working independently.
- Proactive and capable of identifying what is required to finish a file. Getting the file ready for partner review and sign off.
- Capable of contacting and engaging with clients if required.
- Experience with meeting deadlines.
- AM - Supervision of seniors and junior staff as required
