Functional Application Tester with Automation Testing Experience Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Functional Application Tester with a proven track record of success in both manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of functional testing methodologies and be able to effectively apply them to a variety of software applications. In addition, the candidate will have experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using popular testing frameworks. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for a variety of software applications Analyze and understand functional requirements documents (FRDs), user stories, and other technical documentation Identify and report defects in a clear and concise manner Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) Develop and maintain automated test scripts using popular testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Appium Collaborate with developers to resolve defects and ensure that software meets quality standards Stay up-to-date on the latest testing trends and technologies Experience: Proven experience in software manual and automation testing. Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks. Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript). Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. Proven experience in testing APIs / Webservices Working Knowledge of SQL Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Skills: Automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG , jMeter , SOAP UI, Postman ). Scripting and programming languages. Version control systems (e.g., Git). Test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure devops) Agile and Scrum methodologies. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in functional application testing 3+ years of experience in automated testing Strong understanding of functional testing methodologies Experience with popular testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Appium Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and written skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred) All candidates will be interviewed/screened by with a written test or automating test website in AZUREJob tags
