Key Skills Required
OS Patching, OS Hardening and GAP Closures on Server Level.
Job Responsibilities
Windows Operations
• Install, Upgrade, Configure, maintain and troubleshooting Windows server 2016,2019 and 2022
• Conduct regular vulnerability and configuration assessments on Windows Server systems to identify weaknesses and potential security risks and mitigation.
• Implement patch management strategies for Windows Server-based environments to ensure timely deployment of security updates and patches.
• Coordinate with application stake holders and Security teams to schedule and deploy patches without disrupting critical business operations.
• Monitor security bulletins, advisories, and updates from Microsoft and other relevant sources to stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
• Analyse the impact of patches on system functionality and compatibility before deployment, testing patches in non-production environments.
• Maintain documentation of patch deployment processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with IT security teams to develop and enhance security policies and procedures related to Windows Server systems.
• Provide technical guidance and support to resolve patch-related issues and vulnerabilities.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in Windows server administration and patch management, Hardening and securing windows environments.
• Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, and related technologies.
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and patch management solutions (e.g., SCCM, WSUS, Ivanti, Tenable etc.).
• Knowledge of security best practices, compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA), and common vulnerabilities (CVEs).
• Analytical skills to assess risks, prioritize vulnerabilities, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of server virtualization technologies such as VMware or Nutanix.
• Relevant certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate), or similar are advantageous.
IMP Note We are looking for Server Level Administration of Windows and not Desktop/Laptop Windows Admin
