Job description:
- Administering, configuring, tuning, and maintaining Cognos BI 11.xx in non-prod and Production environments.
- Advanced skills using Cognos Report Studio, Query Studio, Active Reports, and Business Insight Advanced.
- Expert-level knowledge of Cognos SQL, Cognos SDK and triggers.
- Expertise in the preparation of the architecture and design of data integration strategies and the implementation of data stores.
- Managing the architecture, capacity, security, and system performance optimization (both Cognos and Windows), making technical recommendations as needed
- Researching, assessing, and implementing Cognos best practices
- Monitoring server resource utilization and administering servers to maintain system efficiency
- Utilizing third-party tools to support administration and monitoring of system resources
- Administering a large number of schedules and events to ensure best performance
- Creating and maintaining Cognos user roles/permissions, working closely with the Active Directory Team
- Analyzi ng Cognos and other server/system logs daily basis to identify and proactively resolve those issues.
