Reports to VP of Engineering

Role
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Director of Engineering to
lead one of our product teams in developing and scaling enterprise software
solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of building
and launching scalable products, fostering the development of high-performing
engineering teams, and navigating the unique challenges associated with
enterprise software development.
Working with Product Engineering Team @ Leadsquared
The Engineering Director will spearhead the development of a comprehensive
product initiative aimed at addressing critical operational challenges. Key
areas of focus include:
. Enhancing experience: Establishing a seamless omni-channel experience
for Sales and Service Users, enabling them to operate efficiently across
diverse communication platforms.
. Balancing configurability and performance: Developing a fully
configurable solution that nonetheless maintains exceptional performance with
response times consistently below 3 seconds.
. Continuous delivery platform: Facilitating weekly feature deployment
across multiple regions through the implementation of a robust continuous
delivery platform.
. Ensuring system scalability and cost-effectiveness: Implementing
scalable system architecture capable of supporting millions of users
concurrently while maintaining optimal cloud cost control.
. Empowering users: Equipping sales and service personnel with tools
and functionalities that expedite customer problem resolution.
A Day in the life of an Engineering Director
. Lead and manage: Oversee and foster the development of multiple
high-performing engineering teams.
. Strategic collaboration: Partner with product management teams to
define and prioritize release roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives.
. Technical leadership: Provide expert guidance and direction towards
the delivery of exceptional quality software, ensuring maintainability,
observability, and performance.
. Continuous improvement: Collaborate with engineering managers and
teams to continuously refine technological infrastructure and processes for
enhanced productivity.
. Engineering culture: Cultivate a strong engineering culture that
embraces best practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven
Development (BDD), code quality initiatives, automation, SECOPS, and continuous
delivery principles, culminating in the delivery of reliable, high-quality, and
scalable software solutions.
. Talent acquisition: Partner with talent acquisition teams to
establish hiring priorities and assist with the recruitment of top-tier
engineering talent.
Experience
. 12 to 15 years of experience in building and shipping software
products.
. Experience leading large engineering teams building Enterprise SaaS
products.
