Job Description Summary
We are looking for a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to lead the Quality initiatives for GE Digital Commercial technology team. You will be responsible for the design, development, testing and implementation of quality solutions to standardize and automate testing. You will join the Commercial IT team and collaborate with our product managers, business analyst, developers, and business users to understand business needs, control release quality to avoid escape defects. By partnering with development & DevOps teams, you will continuously work on automating preprod quality-assurance mechanisms.
The ideal candidate has a background in sales, marketing, and customer service systems, has proven success in a setting up automation frameworks, and has the desire to be a thought-leader on a quickly growing team.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, You will:
- Perform analysis, identify, and implement the right tools for QA automation, test data management
- Establish and setup QA processes, result, and data to be scalable.
- Build and maintain the test suite as part of the agile release cadence.
- Establish and build regression test suite and test data management.
- Build strategy and processes to perform System integration testing.
- Implement continuous integration testing with upstream and downstream systems
- Design and develop automated regression test framework.
- Mentor the QA team members
- Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) related to quality objectives.
- Provide status reporting to Leadership and explain findings
Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding or equivalent work/technical experience
- 5-10 years’ experience working in a Software Development Engineer in Test role
- Have a deep understanding of both manual testing and automation frameworks. You’re able to build automation frameworks from scratch.
- Experience in continuous integration testing and test environment management
- Ability to develop test data sets to simulate production application environments
- Knowledgeable about open-source technologies and testing frameworks
- Process focused- you enjoy building and improving upon processes to ensure accuracy and reliability for product releases.
- Strong automation testing experience, including gray box testing.
- Web services automation (Postman and JSON preferred).
- Knowledge of Selenium, Jenkins, XML, REST, Cassandra.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills and the ability to relentlessly prioritize

Preferred Experience:
- Experience in testing Commercial IT software
- Experience on Salesforce application testing – Sales, Marketing and Service Clouds, CPQ, and integrations with ERP systems
- Experience using QA automation tools like Provar, ACCELQ, Tosca etc.
- Experience with CI/CD Platforms (e.g., Flosum, Copado, Jenkins)
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced Agile environment with diverse/ multiple stakeholders.
