Job Overview:
As a Proof-reader you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and adherence to industry standards in the documentation related to aircraft maintenance. In this position, attention to detail, a deep understanding of aerospace terminology, and a commitment to quality are essential. You will collaborate closely with technical writers, engineers, and subject matter experts to refine and perfect AMMs, contributing to the overall safety and reliability of aviation operations. Key Responsibilities: • You are familiar on authoring processes for the generation of AMM,TSM and AFI manuals inline with S1000D, ATA iSpec2200 and ASD STE 100 standards. • You have a defect free approach on deliveries and can support in management of SDR and Tech Request answering. • You have the capability to do cross-check/peer reviews and hold an active proofreading certificate for AMM/TSM/AFI. • You are good at mentoring authors and have continual improvement mindset. You can take ownership of technical processes for the projects assigned. • Must have tool skills - GAMS, DACAS, Arbortext Editor, Tech Request, AIRINA, Engineering drawings, Installation instructions. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. AME Experience : 2 to 7 Years Proven experience in proofreading technical documentation, preferably in the aerospace industry. - Familiarity with AMMs and aviation terminology. Skills: - Exceptional proofreading and editing skills. - Strong attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Proficiency in using relevant proofreading and editing tools. Knowledge : - Understanding of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures. - Familiarity with aviation regulations and industry standards.Job tags
