Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engg. Or (Preferred) ME/ M.Tech in Electrical Engg. - Power Electronics or Motor Drives Experience: 10 to 20 years

Job Responsibilities Design of Motor Control Algorithms

using tools like Matlab Simulink. Implementation Control Algorithms using DSP / Microcontroller. Improvisation of algorithm code through testing using DSP / Microcontroller.

Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight. Keep track of global trends in relevant technology, and regulations and develop long-term road maps and appropriate work plans Ability to solve novel, difficult design problems with tight timing constraints. Technical/ Functional: Knowledge of the complete life cycle of design of motor control algorithm Knowledge of different types of Motors such as Interior permanent magnet motor (IPM) and surface permanent magnet motor (SPM) used for traction applications. Knowledge of different theories and concepts of Motor Control algorithms.

Knowledge of algorithms like field-oriented control (FOC), Maximum torque per ampere (MTPA), and Field weakening. Knowledge of strategies for thermal management and tuning to improvise dynamic behavior. Hands-on experience in the design of motor control algorithms Proficient in different tools for Control Systems Design for Motor Control applications like Matlab Simulink etc. Basic knowledge of programming/ coding using C / C++ and Matlab. Knowledge and experience with the implementation of Motor Control Algorithms using DSPs and Microcontrollers. Knowledge about DFMEA and Fault Tree Analysis. Knowledge about automotive industry standards and regulations. Knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 26262)
