Vadodara (Gujarat), a wholly owned subsidiary of

AK-LLC (USA),

operating in the field of power electronics, has as an immediate opening for a

Sourcing Manager. We are seeking a

Sourcing Manager

to oversee the Purchasing/Inventory Control functions, to ensure proper monitoring of material cost history and trends.

Responsibilities : · Schedule and direct the activities of the Purchasing/Inventory Control departments to ensure timely and effective materials procurement, delivery, and storage. · Track key internal and external cost indicators/factors so that cost changes and other trends can be properly monitored. · Maintain records of vendors and associated cost histories. · Develop and monitor internal procurement standards for cost containment. · Maintain material cost and inventory levels as directed by business plan directives. · Provide for routine inspection of incoming materials to ensure quality levels, and correct vendor/material quality deficiencies as needed. · Establish and maintain a perpetual inventory on all items, including expendables, used in manufacturing processes. · Provide periodic inventory reports to management. · Monitor Bill of Materials release against slow moving or accumulated inventories for possible use on jobs being reviewed. · Advise management regarding cost changes or anticipated cost changes due to market conditions.

Qualifications : 6+ years’ international materials/procurement management experience in a manufacturing environment is required. 5-7 years’ experience in the transformer, switchgear, and fabricated metal industry is required. 5+ years’ experience in contract and price negotiation with suppliers. Bachelor’s degree in business, procurement, or related field preferred. Demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience. Excellent verbal and written communications with stakeholders at all levels. International materials/procurement management experience in transformer or related power industry a plus.
