About the role Your Impact as Warehouse & logistics specialist I. PURPOSE OF THE JOB As a warehouse manager the candidate will lead the warehouse team and ensure smooth functioning of warehouse activity. He should be able to manage all functions of warehouse and logistic
Description II. ROLE DESCRIPTION As a warehouse manager, the candidate need to handle different function related to warehouse and logistic from his team members (on role / on Contract / Thord party) to ensure all warehouse activities are being performed efficiently.
As a Warehouse Manager You Need - To ensure all safety aspecst in warehouse area as well as warehhouse functioning.
- Inbound activity- Ensure unloading of incoming material in safe and disciplined maneer. Guide inbound team for right practices. Collabrate with transporters and sourcing team to ensure efficinacy in indbound activity
- Ensure right practices of parts locations and storage, inventory counts for evry part which coming to ware hosue. Maintian accuracy in warehouse opertaions. Ensure preservation and control for parts in warehouse
- cordinate with Incoming inspection quality team for inspection planning. Inspection material storage preservation and packing. Rejection material handling
- Work in collaboration with production planing team for kitting of material as per daily production plan for assembly and spare parts shipments.
- Work closely with assembly manager to ensure issueance of parts to assembly as per assembly requirment.
- Responsible for all warehous related KPI's
- Manpower planning for all warehouse and logistic function. Liason with third part logitisc for evaluation and reveiw of warehouse activity performamce
- Ensure alll doccumenation, such as GRN, binning, issuance , consuption is followed in SAP by respective team in warehouse
- Lead the inventory analysis ( perpetual / year end ) for all part stock in warehouse
- Analyse and take improvment actions for inventory variances, preservation flaws, storage inaccuracies, inefficiant layouts
- Find better, safe and effcinat ways of material handling in warehouse. Should have basic awareness of materail handling equipments such as fork lifts, pallet stackers, high reach truck etc..
- Connect with cross functional team such as IT, sourcing, Assembly and dispatch for ressolve bottlnececks beacsue of warehouse operations
Skills ESSENTIAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES - Graduate engineer / Diploma in mechanical / production. (10-12) Yrs /MBA in supply chain
- the function holder has a detailed knowledge of warehouse activity for machined spare parts and parts for machine assembly.
- Expertise of various SAP MM /WM transactions
- Computer skills – MS office
- Should be able to handle warehouse team on role as well as on contract.
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision
- Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
- Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.
- Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.
- Should be aware of various reports and statistics related to warehouse activity (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Leadership skills and ability manage staff
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills
