We are a leading manufacturing company based in Congo, Africa, specializing in Baby Diaper & and tissue manufacturing. As we continue to grow and expand our business, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team.
Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis. Make recommendations for cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements. Manufacturing Accounting: Manage and oversee manufacturing accounting processes, including cost allocation, inventory valuation, and production cost analysis. Work closely with production teams to ensure accurate recording of production costs and inventory movements. Bills of Materials (BOMs): Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all manufactured products. Ensure BOM accuracy and integrity to support production planning and costing activities. Month-end and Year-end Close: Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes. Perform reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments as necessary. Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits. Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Identify and mitigate risks related to financial reporting and operations. Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including corporate income tax, VAT, and other local taxes. Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance with reporting requirements. Auditing: Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to provide necessary documentation and support. Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives. Evaluate business performance, identify trends, and provide insights to management. Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to accounting staff on accounting principles, procedures, and systems. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the finance team. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and practices. Proficiency in Tally software and advanced MS Excel skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Other Requirements: - Willingness to relocate to Congo, Africa, on single status. Fluent in English (French proficiency would be a plus). Must be able to work with a net saving salary of USD 1800 in the home country. Food, accommodation, and insurance will be provided.Job tags
