1. Planning & Budgeting, Cost Control and improvements Analyze maintenance expenditure. Implement and Execute quality improvement plan for cost optimization To maintain and improve the uptimes of equipments, activities, e.g. routine abnormalities detections and preventions, PM schedules with respective task lists, RCA are performed.

1.Take action for improvement by analysing budget expenses on monthly basis . 2. Suggest and implement measures in modification for cost reduction 3. Data collection and Analysis will help to reduce inventory & Spare part cost. 4. Optimize inventory.to minimize the budget while ensuring risk and safety. 4 Interact with vendors, contractors, OEM suppliers for technical discussions to freeze technical specification & scope of supply for procurement at optimum cost .5.Provide inputs in Planning& Budgeting for the Section. 6.Avoid repetitive and recurring nature of failure, machines and system strengthening are to be planned

2. Plant Maintenance: Organize & co-ordinate execution of maintenance activities

1.To Plan, coordinate & monitor the PM/ Schedule activities to meet the customer demand. 2. Check preventive maintenance, shutdown and predictive maintenance systems for abnormalities and take corrective action for elimination. 3. Check breakdown failures, shutdown losses, maintenance expenditure, repair time, manpower cost, overtime every month and identify activities for improvement 4. Escalate Chronic problems to superiors and concerned for advice and remedial action. 5 Coordinate with purchase, stores & P&A to organize necessary resources like material & manpower.

3.Optimizing the utilization of manpower for cost control and productivity enhancement

1. To carry out proper manpower analysis. 2 . Ensure availability of minimum manpower required to carry out necessary maintenance job while intending to reduce the overtime. 3 .Deploying Staff members as well as the workmen for attending various job-related training to ensure the skill development. 4. Encouraging multi-skilling as and when possible. Playing the role of the trainer in imparting the technical know-how of key machinery/equipment or system.

4.System Management (Safety, Sustainability ) Implement and adhere to statutory compliance related to Safety, Health and Environment & Sustainability.

1. To ensure safety standards and requirements are made an integral part of each and every activity carried out at the shop floor. 2. Ensure safety training to our workmen.

5.Cost optimization Developing vendors to meet the requirements of plant in a cost competitive way at optimum cost

1.Supporting the purchase department in furnishing the technical standards and parameters in accordance to the machineries and equipments under procurement and after words putting the technical comments on the offers arranged by purchase department.

6.People Development: Maintain a congenial work culture by effective management of people to improve productivity, growth & motivation levels of employees to institutionalize best organizing practices in the Unit

1. Maintain discipline and grievance handling staff, workmen & peers subordinate. 2.Inculcate in team the group values/policies/ vision/ mission & objectives 3.Motivate employees for stretch targets through team building and two-way communication 4.Co-ordinate with HR Team for monitoring the development of FLOs, staff and workmen Recommend trainings for skill development and ensure development of team members. 5.Proactively train engineers/FLOs/subordinates 6. To identify and give feedback to reporting manager pertaining to the deficiency and shortcomings in the manpower strength as prevailing on the date and future requirement.

7 Documentation. Prepare and update MIS documents.

1. Updating of documents as per IMS, Get audited internally and Externally. Prepare MIS report. Update documents on daily basis.

8. To maintain the discipline in plant, effective labor handling for maintaining healthy labor relations climate and ensuring smooth plant operations

1.Routine monitoring and getting informed about the performances and work culture at the shop floor 2. Conflicting issues are arising out those will be taken up and sorted out in the most amicable manner ensuring adherence to them.

Ensuring that quality issues pertaining to Boilers O& M are properly addressed and maintained in right order.

Quality of Feed Water - Feed water quality parameters are well specified and established, operating groups are trained, DM plant services and treatments are maintained. Quality of Coal - Sampling of ROM Coal is done on regular basis, and variations to the standards parameters are pointed out and highlighted for corrective actions by Raw Material deptt.
