Apply expertise and knowledge to develop accurate cost estimates through analysis and calculations using appropriate tools and methodologies for cost estimation; Identify potential cost-saving measures or strategies; Ensure cost estimates comply with relevant standards and guidelines; Assist in the development of pro-formas/templates.
Conduct Monte Carlo simulations; Work with clients and project teams to develop risk analysis frameworks for cost control; Advise clients on how their risks can be minimised using modelling and reporting and develop solutions by applying appropriate analysis techniques.
Using previous performance data, conduct risk-based assessments of WSP’s fee proposals to create robust fee estimates which minimise financial risk and maximise financial opportunity.
Evaluate pricing models and strategies for cost estimation services; Assist with decision-making and identifing opportunities to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
Conduct audits or quality checks to identify and correct errors or discrepancies; Ensure that cost estimation practices comply with organizational policies and industry regulations.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes and develop innovative approaches and techniques for cost estimation to improve the reliability and consistency.
Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in cost estimation.
Communicate and collaborate effectively and consistently with both internal as well as with external stakeholders on cost estimation results, methodologies, and assumptions.
Provide regular updates on the progress of cost estimation activities and continue to build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and engagement.
