Hiring for: A 150 year old global Investment Management company
Experience: Min. 15 years overall experience, with min. 2 years in managing large scale Data Engineering / Governance / MDM programs
Location: Hyderabad
Salary: Up to 60LPA (includes 20% variable)
Must have:
- Min. 15 years, with min. 2 years in managing large scale Data Engineering / Governance / MDM programs
- Strong data engineering background, having led and built solutions e.g. MDM, Data Governance, build and manage cross platforms for databases and SaaS infrastructure.
- Good knowledge on cloud engineering and security dimensions.
- Ability to partner technically with Enterprise Architects and Product Management teams.
- Strong estimations skills, excellent people management and team building skills, strong risk management skills
- Ability to influence and arrive at decisions by consensus.
- Strong change management skill, adequate technical knowledge and problem solving, crisp communication and time management skills required.
- Must have good interpersonal and collaboration and excellent customer service skills.
- Strong leadership fitment to company's Values, Leadership expectations, code of conduct.
Primary Responsibilities:
A) Business and Technology
- Experienced in leading Data Engineering portfolios, with focus on building Master Data Management, Data Governance and Quality, Data Foundations.
- Experience working with enterprise architecture and business product management to arrive at consensus on designs, to meet enterprise needs.
- Partner with the Data Analytics group to meet common goals of solving business problems, using Al, ML models using the right curated data.
- Technology understanding - AWS, Snowflake, Informatica MDM, Infrastructure - databases, SaaS solutions.
- Focus on automation for efficiency.
B) Portfolio Management
- Managing relationship with US counterparts, getting an understanding of their IT strategy and aligning GCC strategy with BU strategy, Ensure Partner Satisfaction.
- Assist the US team in identifying areas where the Pune team can get involved and add value.
- Cost Management at a Portfolio level.
C) Process Improvement & Adherence
- Establish and continually improve program / project management and execution processes including Risk Management, communication management, resource management, defect management & prevention, communication management, and cost management.
- Status reporting, Metrics generation at BU level & analysis
- Focus on DORA metrics, DevOps, FinOps.
D) People Management
- Resource management including staffing / on-boarding, resource deployment, and vendor management.
- Training and knowledge management
E) Employee Satisfaction
- Skill building, Back-up Planning, Succession Planning
- Focus on Learnings and development.
- Ability to balance a Hybrid team and sustain work culture.
F) Operations Management
- Getting a program level understanding of the various projects within the BU and allocating appropriate resources; and delivering as per agreement
- Metrics management including analysis and interpretation.
- Communication management
- Budgeting and adherence
- Contribution to organizational activities
G) Dimensions
- This role will be responsible to handle 1 business unit and direct & indirect team size will be 40 to 70 people.
- This role will be having reporting of Senior Delivery managers.
- Can handle programs where various types of skill sets (technology) is used as well as distributed teams.
H) Reporting Relationship
- This position reports to: Director Engineering
- Direct Reports: Senior Consultants (Delivery Managers, Architects, Senior Business Analysts, etc.)
Secondary Responsibilities
- Ability to participate and lead organization wide initiatives - e.g. enterprise or business unit focus working groups, technology, data & analytics forums.
- Industry Tech and Business Industry Forums representation
