Job Overview We are seeking a competent and skilled Dispatch Supervisor (Mechanical) . As a Dispatch Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the dispatch operations of our mechanical department. This includes coordinating, planning, and executing the dispatch of drivers and equipment to pick up or deliver freight. The role is based in Hooghly district, West Bengal, India and is a full-time position.
Qualifications And Skills - Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in dispatch operations, preferably in the steel or iron industry
- BE or B Tech in Mechanical or related field
- Strong knowledge and understanding of dispatch processes, including planning and execution
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using computer systems and software for dispatch operations
Roles And Responsibilities - Coordinate and manage a component of assigned drivers and equipment to ensure timely pick up or delivery of freight
- Implement customer plans, routes, and schedules to optimize efficiency and meet service level agreements
- Monitor and track dispatch activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the dispatch process
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other internal departments
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and update relevant systems
- Provide regular reports on dispatch performance and suggest improvements
