Job description
As a DevOps Engineer you will play a crucial role in the development deployment and maintenance of our software infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Linux/Windows systems extensive experience in DevOps practices and expertise in cloud technologies especially AWS.
Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Cloud Expertise: Design implement and manage AWS cloud environments ensuring scalability security and high availability.
- Scripting and Coding: Develop and maintain automation scripts using scripting languages such as Bash and at least one other language (e.g. Python Ruby).
- Platform Engineering: Collaborate with platform engineers to optimize the performance and reliability of systems.
- Monitoring and Logging: Implement and manage monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of systems using tools like Specify relevant tools.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues improve processes and enhance system architecture.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for configurations processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Strong expertise in AWS services and cloud architecture.
- Handson experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
- Scripting experience with proficiency in Bash and at least one other language.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools with Jenkins experience preferred.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
