Job description
NoPo Nanotechnologies one of the few deep tech companies globally that leads the research and development in the nanotubes space. The company manufactures and sells high-quality single walled carbon nanotubes using proprietary methods known as HiPCO®. These nanotubes are extremely small and strong, with a range of useful properties such as semi-conductivity, low density, and high conductivity. They have been used in a variety of applications, including Li-ion batteries, space, defence, and electronics. NoPo is currently scaling up production to meet the customer demands.
As an Electrical Engineer - Heater Systems, you will be responsible for designing, testing and improving heaters to meet specific requirements and industry standards. Your expertise in various types of heaters, PID controllers, SCR and temperature sensors will be instrumental in ensuring our heating systems performance, safety and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and on-time delivery of heater solutions.
- Designing and developing new heater products or improving existing ones.
- Creating innovative heating solutions that meet specific performance requirements, safety standards and cost targets.
- Perform simulations and conduct testing to ensure the heaters efficiency and reliability.
- Implement and optimize PID controller to ensure precise and stable temperature regulation in the heating systems.
- Develop calibration procedures for the temperature sensors (1000 degree and above) to maintain accuracy over their operating range.
- Design and develop thermocouples or other appropriate sensors capable of accurate and reliable temperature measurement in extreme conditions.
- Integrate temperature sensors into control systems such as SCR or Thyristor-based circuits.
- Optimize the control system to ensure precise temperature regulation for different types of heaters.
- Conduct safety assessments and risk analyses to ensure the systems are operating safely at high temperatures.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting temperature sensor and control system issues in the entire process.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- Proven practical experience (4-5 years) in designing and implementing control systems for complex industrial processes.
- Experience working with high pressure/high temperature precision systems
- Practical Hands-on Expertise in TRIACS, SCR and Thyristor circuits with a strong understanding of their applications and limitations
- Practical Knowledge and experience in designing heaters of 2KW and above using Nikrothal elements are preferred.
- Practical experience in the application of electrical and electronics engineering principles to real-world systems.
- Knowledge on Electrical and Industry safety standards.
- Be a self-starter who needs minimal management
