Job Title: Electrical Designer

In this role, you have the opportunity to design, develop and maintain Diagnostic Imaging/ MR components and products. You are responsible for identifying appropriate designs for overall system, sub-system and component levels. You will ensure that your design is consistent with the higher level architecture and requirements. You will be working on Life Cycle Engineering activities.

Your role :

. Responsible for the design, check and optimization, realization and integration, life-cycle management, and verification of (elements and parts of) products, systems and/or solutions.

. Able to analyse, design, develop, test and debug electronic embedded boards, Schematic designs.
Understand electronic communication protocols.
. Responsible for all aspects of the electrical design of an Electrical System including high-speed digital, power management, PCB layouts and thermal management.
. Collaborates with algorithm and software team to define and implement high-performance computing platforms.
. Works directly with System Architecture, Firmware, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.

. Develops the work with focus on user and business requirements, compliance, quality and cost. Develops high level and detailed designs in accordance with the product requirements and Philips reference architecture requirements.
. Combines existing and/or purchased elements and parts into (elements of) products, systems and/or solutions.
. Finalizes the design and integration, and writes verification plans for the developed elements and parts. Tests, analyses and verifies the quality of the design.
. Maintains an outside-in approach for the designs created.
. Is responsible for delivering input in the planning process to the project manager. Draws up personal schedules and reports on progress in a structured and methodical way.
. Ensures that documentation takes place according to the provided templates from the I2M processes.

1) Quality: performance, reliability, compliance Possible examples:
. Number of defects found during verification on owned parts/ building blocks/systems, coding errors and customer defects.
. First pass test rate, costs of designs vs target, reliability of parts designed vs target and First Time Right Quality Product.
. Field complaint rate/field call rate on owned parts/ building blocks/systems.
. Usability-> user friendliness/ acceptance
2) Delivery on time Possible examples:
. Adherence to personal schedule, timely notification of deviations to plan and comes up with proposals to stay on track.
3) Productivity Possible examples:
. Parts designed, test cases executed, requirements approved, defects solved and documentation made.

You're the right fit if:

• You possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with minimum of 8+ years of relevant industry experience in a professional engineering environment with at least 5+ years' of experience in product development.

• You have a hands-on experience in Embedded Analog and Digital hardware design, experience in new product introduction or life-cycle development in a regulated industry.
