Job Overview: The Manager of the Career Development Center will play a crucial role in supporting the professional growth and development of students at K.R. Mangalam University. This position involves strategizing, implementing, and overseeing career development programs and services. The Manager will work closely with faculty, industry professionals, and students to enhance employability skills and facilitate successful career outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Career Counseling and Guidance: - Provide individual and group career counseling to students. - Assist students in understanding and navigating career options relevant to their academic pursuits and professional interests.

2. Program Development and Implementation: - Develop and implement innovative career development programs and workshops. - Collaborate with academic departments to integrate career readiness into the curriculum.

3. Industry Relations and Networking: - Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals and alumni for networking and career opportunities for students. - Organize career fairs, guest lectures, and industry visits to facilitate direct interaction between students and employers.

4. Internship and Placement Coordination: - Coordinate with various industries to secure internship and placement opportunities. - Oversee the internship process, ensuring valuable learning experiences for students.

5. Data Management and Reporting: - Maintain comprehensive records of student engagements, placements, and feedback. - Analyze data to improve services and report on the effectiveness of the career development initiatives.

6. Team Management and Leadership: - Lead and mentor a team of career counselors and administrative staff. - Ensure the professional development of team members through training and workshops.

7. Stakeholder Engagement: - Engage with faculty, parents, and students to communicate the value of career development services. - Collaborate with academic departments to ensure alignment with industry trends and employability skills.

Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Career Counseling, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in career counseling, placement coordination, or a related role in an educational or corporate setting. - Strong understanding of the job market, industry requirements, and higher education landscape. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. - Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Proficient in the use of career development software and data analysis tools.
