Job Summary & Key Responsibilities: This position requires a comprehensive understanding of software test management across all phases, including defining requirements, executing tests, tracking defects, and managing the testing process. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to create and execute test cases and scripts, analyze results, and report any deficiencies found.
A strong grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Bug Life Cycle is essential. Troubleshooting skills are highly valued, with the ability to analyze logs at a high level to identify the root cause of issues. Knowledge of various hardware and operating systems is also desirable. Working collaboratively within a team and across different projects is a key aspect of this role. The candidate should be result-oriented, self-driven, highly motivated, and capable of functioning effectively as an individual contributor. Experience in testing within an Agile SCRUM environment/KANBAN, with a focus on Continuous Delivery cycles, is advantageous. Familiarity with the release process for both internal consumption and external stakeholders is beneficial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for coordinating with Agile teams and Business Analysts to understand system and feature requirements. Additionally, the ability to conduct post-release and post-mortem analyses is required. Experience: Preferably, the candidate should have 2 to 4 years of relevant experience. Required skills: - Proficiency in using test management software such as PractiTest, Jira, and Confluence, along with JiraQuery. - Familiarity with QA methodologies and Agile frameworks (SCRUM/KANBAN) with the capability to work effectively through Agile Boards. - Strong documentation skills, including creating Release Notes, Issue Logs, and Traceability Matrices. - Attention to detail and analytical skills to identify and resolve both hardware and software-related problems. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
