Position Overview:
As an Electrical Design Engineer in the Core Electronic/Semiconductor domain, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of electronic systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create cutting-edge solutions that meet performance, reliability, and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Electronic System Design: Lead and contribute to the design and development of electronic systems, including schematic design, component selection, and system integration.
- Analog and Digital Circuit Design: Specialize in both analog and digital circuit design, working on components such as amplifiers, microcontrollers, memory interfaces, and power management circuits.
- Signal Integrity and Power Integrity: Address signal integrity and power integrity considerations in electronic system designs, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaboration with PCB Layout Teams: Work closely with PCB layout teams to guide the physical implementation of electronic system designs and ensure layout constraints are met.
- Prototype Bring-Up and Testing: Oversee the bring-up of electronic system prototypes, conduct testing, and collaborate with validation teams to verify and validate design functionality.
- Design Validation: Develop and execute validation plans to ensure that electronic system designs meet performance, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Component Selection and Vendor Collaboration: Select electronic components based on performance and reliability requirements, and collaborate with vendors to ensure the availability of selected components.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, design reports, and test procedures.
- Collaboration with Software and Firmware Teams: Work closely with software and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration of electronic system designs into overall product solutions.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in electronic system design methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic system design within the semiconductor industry.
- Proficiency in schematic design and familiarity with PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence).
- Experience in both analog and digital circuit design, with a strong understanding of signal integrity and power integrity principles.
- Hands-on experience with electronic system prototype bring-up, testing, and validation.
- Strong knowledge of electronic components and familiarity with vendor collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards in electronic system design.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to team projects.
