3. Should be experienced in water pipeline projects in Saudi
As a Procurement Engineer specializing in water pipeline projects, your role is crucial in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services essential for successful project execution. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and project teams, to implement efficient procurement strategies while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities Vendor Management: - Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors for water pipeline projects.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure a reliable and competitive supply chain.
Material Sourcing: - Collaborate with project teams to determine material requirements based on project specifications.
- Source and select materials, ensuring compliance with project standards, quality, and budgetary constraints.
Bid Management: - Prepare and issue procurement-related documentation, including requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for quotations (RFQs).
- Evaluate bids and proposals, considering factors such as cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
Negotiation: - Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Resolve any contractual issues and discrepancies to ensure adherence to project requirements.
Contract Management: - Draft and manage contracts with suppliers, outlining terms and conditions, performance expectations, and quality standards.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any non-compliance or issues that may arise during the procurement process.
Cost Management:
- Work closely with the Estimation Engineer to align procurement activities with project budgets and cost estimates.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-effective procurement strategies.
Compliance and Documentation: - Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and organized procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and vendor information.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
- Stay informed about market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry changes affecting procurement.
